Anagi stove ceramic liner, Sri Lanka, 1980s Firewood is renewable in that the cycle of tree-growing, felling and burning allows replacement over about 100 years. This form of cheap stove, made from local materials, burns fuel very efficiently, with little waste of the heat and a greatly reduced smoke problem.
