A self-winding clock invented by Dr. Hermann Aron of Berlin in 1892-4.
[edit] How it works
In this clock a light tumbler switch is operated by the running down of the clock train; an armature then rewinds the driving spring and replaces the switch. This self-winding action was primarily designed to operate the Aron electricity meters, several types of which are exhibited in the Electric Power section of the museum.
