Book, Design in the Festival, 1951
The promotion of design was at the heart of the Festival of Britain. The Council of Industrial Design, led by its director, Gordon Russell, took a leading part in the planning of the exhibitions and the selection and collection of exhibits. This crusading role also found voice in a number of publications aimed at the general public.
