Do-It-Yourself and The Practical Householder

These monthly practical home decorating magazines were full of hints for those wanting to modernise or maintain their homes. From ‘choosing the right wallpaper’ to ‘refrigerator troubles and remedies’, they gave hints and tips for major and minor jobs throughout the house and garden.

[edit] How it works

They promised ‘instruction that is simple and pleasant to read and easy to understand’.

[edit] Memories

Yes I have some of these magazines in two volumes covering 1955 through 1957.
