Help:Images
From Object Wiki
This website can include images, as well as text.
[edit] Uploading new images
Anyone can add relevant images to this website. All we ask is that the photograph is either one you took yourself, is old enough to be out of copyright, or that permission has been given for use of the image on this website.
To upload an image, you must be registered and logged on. Then, visit Upload file and select the image that you want to upload. Please try to fill in the 'description' field with some information about where the image was taken, or was found - you don't have to write lots though, and you can edit this later. You should then also specify which licensing conditions apply to the image.
[edit] Adding images to a page
To add an image to a page, you need to know what the name of the image is.
You can find this at the top of all the image pages. For example, the image on the right is called Image:Remote Control Robot.jpg. If you copy and paste this name, you can then make the image appear in any page by enclosing it in double square brackets, like this: [[Image:Remote Control Robot.jpg]]. This will make the image appear at its full size though. To make it a bit smaller, add a vertical line character (found under the Escape key on many keyboards), followed by the keyword 'thumb', like this: [[Image:Remote Control Robot.jpg|thumb]].
[edit] Finding images already on the website
If you want to look for images that have already been added to the website, there are a few ways of doing so. The easiest may be to look through the main object pages, and see which images are included on them. Alternatively, you can see a gallery of recently uploaded images, or a list of all the images uploaded ever. Finally, you can see images which haven't been included in any pages.
