In the 1950s many audio enthusiasts built up their equipment from a variety of different manufacturer’s products. This set from 1956 includes a Collaro model 4T200 transcription turntable in home-made box, a Jason FM tuner for radio reception, a Leak ‘Point One’ pre-amplifier (with six equalisation settings for different types of input), a Leak TL/10 power amplifier and a single large Wharfedale loudspeaker (shown nearby).
