This Marconi IV studio television camera was widely used in British TV studios in the 1960s.
The camera is shown mounted on a Vinten Mark 3 Pan and Tilt head, which is in turn mounted on a Vinten type 3419/- pedestal.(Derek Blackman)

TV studio cameras were used to film TV programmes, and work by turning light into electrical signals, which are then broadcast. Initially, there was no way of recording these signals, and so all TV programmes were live.

Yes! Mark IV Marconi cameras was used at TV Excelsior in Brazil (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, starting in 1963).
