Manufacturer Pathe
Production years 1911
Production location (unknown)

The Pathe firm abandoned cylinders in 1906 and went over to disc records. These were produced in the same way as cylinders, using a groove with varable depth. This gave rise to the nickname ‘hill and dale’. The recording started at the middle of the disc rather than the outside, and was played with a sapphire stylus instead of a steel needle.
